How to choose the best iPhone Wallet Case for you

by dan smith February 16, 2021

It's a great feeling, getting rid of your wallet or purse and carrying the cards and cash you need on the back of your iPhone.

Do you have a fancy new iPhone 12 and want to add a slick wallet case?

I have been selling iPhone wallet cases since 2013, and can help you choose which of six types of iPhone wallet cases can get you the stylish and fast access to the cards and cash you need most.

Elastic Pocket Wallet Case (Style #1 of 6)

These cases carry cards, cash and maybe a bulky item like a car key on the back of your phone using a stretchy elastic material.

How many cards can an elastic wallet case hold?

These cases are designed to hold up to 10 cards. If the elastic is well made, it can hold one card tight or expand out to hold up to 10 cards.

If the elastic is made well, it should hold your cards super tight.

How easy and fast can you can access cards with an elastic wallet case?

If the wallet case is designed with a card ejector slot [GIF below] you can instantly eject all your cards, or just the top card. With an elastic pocket, the cards are accessible on the back of the case with no door or flap to get in the way.

As the tops of the cards are always sticking out a bit, it is easy to access either just the top card or the whole stack of cards.

How slim or bulky is an elastic wallet case?

Slimness and expandability is a core benefit of an elastic pocket. With no cards, the elastic lays flat and slim. The elastic expands as cards are added and slims down as card are removed.

What types of material are available?

These cases generally have a rubber or plastic bumper, a woven or knitted elastic pocket and a core made from real wood, leather or a variety of synthetic materials.
